stocking homes and hearts
WELCOME REFUGEES, UNITE RESOURCES, PARTNER FOR THRIVING LIVES
Can you imagine if you had to choose between diapers for your baby or food for your family? This is the reality for thousands of refugee families in the Chicago area. Food stamps don’t buy daily essentials such as toilet paper, diapers and even soap. Yet, we know how essential these items are to life in the United States. Try and imagine your life without them. That’s where we come in! Stock the Shelves, a collaborative effort by Northshore faith communities, is the missing link that unites an abundance of Northshore resources with under resourced refugee families as they continue to build thriving and sustainable lives.
On the fourth Wednesday of the month the Stock the Shelves truck delivers these essential items to Warren Park where over 125 refugee families receive items to stock their shelves.
